In-Game Drops
Every week you can earn drops by playing on official servers with a Prime account: one case or skin drop per weekly rank-up, plus item drops at the end of matches. Drops come from the active pool, which is why current-pool cases are cheap. It is slow, but it is the only free route Valve runs.
No-Deposit Promo Codes
Most skin sites give a free case or starting balance when you register with a promo code and link Steam. CSGOEmpire's free case can be worth up to 2,050 coins, CSGORoll gives three cases, Farmskins gives a free dollar and a case, Clash.gg and Hellcase give a free case. You can play the winnings immediately; withdrawing them normally needs one deposit first. Our promo codes page lists every current code.
Daily Free Cases
Log in daily on CSGORoll, Clash.gg, Hellcase or Key-Drop and open the free case. Drops are small but they scale with your level, and over a month they add up to a balance you can turn into a skin after a single deposit. This is the most reliable free route after in-game drops.
Giveaways & Referrals
Sites run giveaways around Majors and on their social channels, and most pay referral rewards when a friend signs up with your code. Streamers and creators run sponsored giveaways constantly. Enter the ones run by the site itself or by established creators; skip anything that asks you to log in through a link or deposit to qualify.
What to Avoid
- Any site asking you to log in to Steam through its own page: Steam login should always open on steamcommunity.com
- Trade offers from strangers offering a free skin: the offer is a decoy for an API-key or trade-URL scam
- Survey and app-install sites paying in points: the hourly rate is cents
- Free-skin Discord bots and 'inventory checkers' that ask for an API key
- Giveaways that require a deposit to qualify: that is a deposit bonus, not a giveaway
