How Verification Works
Every Original uses a server seed (committed by hash before you bet), a client seed you can change, and a nonce that increments per bet. The result is derived from hashing the three together. Stake's fairness page lets you rotate the server seed, reveal the previous one and verify any past bet; there is also an open-source verifier so you do not have to trust the site's own tool. Our provably fair guide walks through the maths.
Which Original for Which Session
- Grinding rakeback: dice or limbo at a high win chance, small stakes, many bets
- Entertainment with a ceiling: crash with auto cash-out and a stop-loss
- Controlled risk: mines with 1 to 3 bombs, banking early
- Lowest edge: blackjack with basic strategy, then baccarat on banker
- Chasing a big multiplier: limbo or plinko on the high-risk preset, with a fixed budget
Originals Versus Third-Party Games
Originals run at 1% edge and are verifiable bet by bet. Slots run at 3% to 4% edge on the provider's certified RNG, which is audited but not verifiable by you. Live tables sit in between. For anyone playing volume, Originals are the cheapest games on Stake by a distance, and the code's rakeback applies to all of them.
FAQ
What are Stake Originals?
Stake's own provably fair games: crash, dice, limbo, plinko, mines, keno, wheel, hilo, dragon tower, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and others, each with a public verifier.
What is the house edge on Stake Originals?
1% on most of them. Blackjack is lower with basic strategy; roulette is 2.7% on the European wheel.
Can I verify a Stake Original bet myself?
Yes. Reveal the server seed on the fairness page and run the hash with your client seed and the bet's nonce, on Stake's verifier or an independent one.
